The new Krone Profi Liner Ultra

Werlte, 10th September 2009 – The new Krone Profi Liner Ultra offers a semitrailer with an optimised total weight of approx. 5,650 kgs, thus more than 500 kgs lighter than the standard Krone Profi Liner.

This reduction in weight is down to the revsion of the entire chassis. This allowed for both the longitudinal and the transverse beams to be made lighter without the loss of stability.

Further considerations were made to the internal aspects of the Profi Liner. The front wall and container door are made of aluminium which offers optimised strength and weight. The inherently strong metal is also used for the brackets which hold the air and light connections. By making these practical changes Krone have improved the handling of the semitrailer.

The new Krone Profi Liner Ultra, like all of the Krone semitrailers, comes equipped, as standard with the award winning Multi Safe System for load securing. With the combination of the Multilock external frame with the Multiblock load securing system, the Profi Liner offers optimised load securing and flexibly load capability.

The Profi Liner Ultra is capable of safely transporting any kind of load (e.g. beverages, skeleton transport boxes etc.) This is also underlined by the certification acc. to the DCE directives and acc. to DIN EN 12642 Code XL. For exemplary safe driving behaviour, the Profi Liner Ultra is, in addition, equipped with EBS and the stability system RSS (Roll Stability Support) as a standard.

To add to the list of benefits provided by Krone’s new semitrailer, the Profi Liner Ultra comes with a KTL plus powder colouring (cataphoretic painting with subsequent powder coating), which offers a unique long-term protection against corrosion. The KTL plus powder procedure guarantees a complete, all-round protection, even in difficult-to-access corner, edge, and cavity areas of the vehicle. Krone offers a 10-year warranty against corrosion.

With the Profi Liner Ultra, Krone consciously accepts its responsibility for the environment, yet continues to keep its focus on customer benefit. The Profi Liner Ultra is an innovative vehicle, which may have a lasting effect on environmental protection. Lower empty weight means increased payload, which, in turn, means a reduction of transports. Fewer transports also mean less fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
