KRONE MEGA LINER –
HELPING BRIAN YEARDLEY
CONTINENTAL LTD DELIVER EXCELLENCE
West Yorkshire based Brian Yeardley Continental Ltd. has recently taken delivery of 15 new Krone Mega Liners as part of its growing investment into their driver accompanied full load and groupage services. Established in 1975 as a family run business, Brian Yeardley Continental Ltd. specialises in the transport of ADR goods and high volume cargo such as plastics, chemicals, automotive parts, white goods and pharmaceuticals to and from Europe and beyond.
The Krone Mega Liner is ideally suited for the transportation of high volume goods with a load capacity of 100m³ and comes equipped with a hydraulic lifting roof as standard that allows a maximum lift of 450mm. Variable ride hide of 120mm at the front and 50mm at the rear allows the operator to adjust between maximum internal height to suit the load or lower overall height to improve fuel return. The Mega Liner also comes with the Krone Multi Lock system which provides optimum load securing with over 3000 anchor points. Kevin Hopper, Operations Director at Brian Yeardley, commented: “We are very pleased with the trailers, Krone have shown to be professional both in the timely delivery of the trailers and the training provided to our drivers to operate the various functions of the Mega Liners from the lifting roof to the load securing features.”
In recent years Brian Yeardley has turned its attention to the groupage market and specialise in their own fleet of driver accompanied services, travelling to mainland Europe with daily consignments from the UK to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Benelux. As part of this investment BYC has purchased 6 new Volvo FH 12 XL Globetrotter trucks with Euro 5 engines. “We feel that for reliability, quality of build and versatility we have invested in the best that money can buy to suit our customer needs.” Added Kevin Hopper.
